Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 24, 2026

The Short Version

Your data belongs to you. Entries are stored on your device by default. If you create an account, your data syncs to a cloud database (encrypted at rest and in transit) that's access-controlled to your account. We never sell your personal data or use it for advertising. We share data only with service providers needed to operate features you choose to use, as described below. We use no tracking pixels or third-party analytics platforms.

1. Data Storage

Local storage: All dream entries, astral logs, meditation sessions, and personal preferences can be stored locally in your browser. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to sync or export.

Cloud sync: When you create a Limina account and sign in, your entries sync to a secure cloud database (Supabase). This data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and protected by row-level security, meaning the database enforces that each user can only read and write their own data through the app. Authorized operators may access infrastructure or account data only when needed for security, support, legal compliance, or service operation.

You can use Limina without an account. Cloud sync is optional. Without an account, everything stays on your device.

2. AI Features

When you choose an AI-powered feature (Intelligence engine, pattern analysis, Higher Self Portal), Limina asks for permission before sending the journal entries included in that request and your question to the Anthropic Claude API. Anthropic states that commercial API inputs and outputs are not used for model training by default. Under its standard policy, Anthropic generally deletes API inputs and outputs within 30 days, with longer retention possible for usage-policy enforcement, legal requirements, feedback, or a separately agreed retention arrangement. See Anthropic's current API retention policy.

Each AI interaction is stateless. The AI has no memory between sessions and no access to other users' data.

3. Information We Collect

Account data: If you create an account, we store your email address and a securely hashed password. We do not store your password in plain text.

Payment data: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full card details. Stripe provides us with a customer ID and subscription status only.

We do not collect:

  • IP addresses for tracking purposes
  • Device fingerprints
  • Location data
  • Usage analytics or behavioral data
  • Cookies beyond essential session management

4. Third-Party Services

Limina uses the following third-party services:

  • Supabase (database and authentication) for cloud sync and user accounts
  • Anthropic Claude API for AI-powered features
  • Stripe for payment processing (paid plans only)
  • Netlify for web hosting and serverless functions
  • Google Fonts for typeface delivery

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. Supabase receives synced journal data when you enable cloud sync, and Anthropic receives text needed for AI features when you invoke them.

5. Voice Transcription

Voice input uses your browser's built-in Web Speech API. Audio is processed locally on your device or by your browser vendor (Google for Chrome, Apple for Safari). Limina does not receive, store, or transmit your audio recordings.

6. Notifications

If you enable notifications, reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No notification data is sent to any external server.

7. Data Export and Deletion

Export: You can export all of your data at any time in JSON or CSV format from the app's account and data menu.

Local data: Clearing your browser data or uninstalling the app permanently removes all locally stored entries.

Cloud data: If you have an account, you can delete your account and associated cloud data from within the app's account panel. If you need help, email support@liminaapp.com.

8. Children

Limina is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is no industry standard for how to respond to it, and we do not currently alter our practices based on DNT signals. If that changes, we will update this policy.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where possible, notify users via the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Terms of Service

Last updated: July 24, 2026

The Short Version

Limina is a personal consciousness development tool. Use it honestly and for its intended purpose. You own your data. We provide the platform as-is. Paid features require a subscription. You can cancel anytime.

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Limina ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. "We," "us," and "our" refer to Limina and its operator, Nathaniel Solace.

2. The Service

Limina is a web-based application for tracking dreams, astral/out-of-body experiences, and meditation sessions. It includes journaling tools, pattern analysis, cosmic data correlations, a research library, and optional AI-powered features.

Limina is provided for personal, non-commercial use. You may not use the Service to build a competing product, scrape data, or redistribute its content.

3. Accounts

You may use Limina without creating an account. If you create one, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials. You must provide a valid email address and must not impersonate another person.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are used for abusive purposes.

4. Your Data

You retain full ownership of all content you create in Limina, including journal entries, tags, notes, and experiment logs. We claim no intellectual property rights over your content.

By using cloud sync and AI features, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service (syncing, generating AI insights). This license ends when you delete your data or account.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Free tier (Explorer): Available at no cost with unlimited journaling, research library, cosmic data, and data export.

Paid tier (Oneironaut): Available at $10/month, $99/year, or $199 lifetime. Includes AI-powered intelligence features.

Cancellation: Monthly and annual subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. You retain access through the end of your current billing period. Lifetime purchases are non-recurring.

Apple subscriptions: If you subscribe via iOS, you can manage or cancel your subscription at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.

Refunds: Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable. Annual subscriptions may be refunded within 14 days of purchase if you have not used paid features. Lifetime purchases may be refunded within 30 days of purchase. Contact support@liminaapp.com for refund requests.

Price changes: We may change subscription prices with 30 days notice. Existing subscriptions will not be affected until renewal. Lifetime purchases lock in the price at time of purchase.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to access another user's data or account
  • Use automated tools to access the Service at scale
  • Abuse the AI features or support chatbot (rate limits are enforced)
  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service

7. Availability and Changes

We aim to keep Limina available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control.

We may add, change, or remove features at any time. If we discontinue a paid feature, affected subscribers will be notified and offered a proportional refund or credit.

8. Limitation of Liability

Limina is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free, secure, or available at all times.

Limina is a personal journaling and tracking tool. It is not a medical, therapeutic, or clinical service. Nothing in the app constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Consult a qualified professional for health-related concerns.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

9. Intellectual Property

The Limina name, logo, design, code, research library content, and Higher Self Portal transmissions are the intellectual property of Nathaniel Solace and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from these materials without written permission.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If negotiation fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with updated terms, you may stop using the Service and request account deletion.
